Bellevue Society for the Arts’ Cabaret Troupe is announcing an adults-only cabaret event Friday, July 28 at 8 p.m.
“The Rated-R Cabaret” will feature a humorous array of songs and spoken-word material containing suggestive language, jokes, and adult situations performed by familiar BSA personalities.
The performance will include selections from Broadway hits, AVENUE Q, KINKY BOOTS, THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE, DISNEY’S THE LITTLE MERMAID, URINETOWN, CHICAGO, and JEKYLL & HYDE; viral internet sensation, “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog,” as well as artists Bette Midler, Weird Al Yankovic and more.
This is not typical BSA cabaret fare. Regular cabaret audiences may find some of the material offensive. Discretion is advised.
The July 28 cabaret will feature an hors d’oeuvres and dessert bar. A cash bar will also be available for those 21 and over with proper identification
Cabaret performances are by reservation-only and are limited to 100 in attendance. Tickets are only $15 each. Reservations must be made in advance by calling 419-484-2787.
Absolutely no one under the age of 17 will be admitted to “The Rated-R Cabaret!” Those aged 17 must be accompanied by an adult parent or guardian.
“The Rated-R Cabaret” is emceed by David Riegel, Bellevue. Jacob Donofrio, Fremont, provides piano accompaniment.
Performers include Cyndi Hineline, Fremont; Laura Horn, Bellevue; Jennifer Miller, Bellevue; Brad Rowe, Bellevue; Ray Sizemore III, Norwalk; and Aaron Stewart, Tiffin.
